Loretta Puncer is a painter and photographer. Her first love is still life and landscape painting. The inspiration for her still life paintings comes from objects she encounters in everyday life. Her landscapes are painted on location in places where the patterns of light and shadow capture her interest. Her interest in photography comes from growing up in a household where photographs were a part of everyday life as her Father was a professional photographer. Her photographs are taken when she travels to record images that inspire her paintings. Her work can be seen at Gallery 510 which she owns and operates along with her sister, Rosemary Baumann. She teaches art classes throughout the Miami Valley area. She has been a docent at the Dayton Art Institute since 1996. She has 15 years experience in the Design Field working as a Graphic Artist. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Dayton. She resides in Kettering, Ohio with her husband, Bill and children, Nicholas and Claire.
